About Our Staff

Beth James is one of the firm's paralegals and has worked with Attorney Lawrence Farber since 2003. Beth has always been interested in the law and enjoys the fast pace of our office environment. She also works directly with Attorney Peter Vickery and Attorney Anthony Paturso, where she assists with drafting pleadings, answering discovery, tracking deadlines, legal research, corresponding with clients and opposing parties, and maintaining files. Her attention to detail and relationship with our clients are real assets to the firm. 

Ariana Styles is one of the firm’s paralegals, working closely with Attorney Carl Lindley and Attorney DeAnna Wendland. Ariana has recently received her Juris Doctor (JD) degree from Western New England School of Law. She is passionate about the study of law and her future in the field. She assists with legal research, drafting legal documents, motions, memorandums of law, and corresponds with clients.

Skylar Alves is one of the firm's legal assistants, working closely with all attorneys. She brings a diverse background to her role with a bachelor's degree from Worcester State University in business management and accounting. Additionally, she has a strong foundation in organization, detail management, and client communications. Outside of the office, Skylar is a dedicated mom and balances her professional life with her passions for fitness and coaching.

Carly Whalen is one of the firm's legal assistants, working closely with Attorney Carl Lindley and Attorney DeAnna Wendland. Carly recently graduated from the College of the Holy Cross with a bachelor's degree in psychology and a minor in Education. Throughout her undergraduate career, she served as a dedicated member and captain of the College’s Mock Trial Team, leading her peers in national-level competitions. She also gained hands-on experience in child advocacy and public policy through internships with the CASA Project Worcester County and the Child Welfare League of America in Washington, D.C. Carly intends to pursue a law degree in the near future, building on her strong foundation in advocacy, leadership, and service.

Melissa Barcomb is one of the firm's legal assistants, working closely with Attorney Peter Vickery and Attorney Anthony Paturso. Previously, she was a loving preschool teacher who took college classes in both early education and criminal justice. Outside of the office, she loves to read, binge shows, shop, go for walks outside, hike, fish on the boat, and of course, spend time with family, friends, and her cat Chloe!

Joanna Leroux is the firm’s bookkeeper and handles all client billing and accounting matters, working with all attorneys and staff members directly. Previously, she worked at her family business, handling all aspects of running a small business, which helped make her quick on her feet, motivated to create change, and work positively with clients. Outside of the office, Joanna enjoys the outdoors, her pets, and her family.
