An Employment Law-Focused Attorney

Attorney Emily J. Daniell, an associate at Farber & Lindley LLC Attorneys at Law, practices employment law, including workplace discrimination and sexual harassment as well as landlord and tenant law, including housing discrimination. She assists employees who have suffered adverse action based upon age, disability, sex, gender identity, pregnancy, race, color, national origin, religion, sexual harassment, and sexual orientation, as well as retaliation, wage and hour, and overtime issues.

Before joining our firm, Attorney Daniell practiced at a small employment law firm concentrating on employee discrimination and sexual harassment cases. Attorney Daniell has represented clients before the Massachusetts Superior, District, and Housing Courts, the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts, and at the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination (MCAD) and the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).

Attorney Daniell received her law degree from Western New England University School of Law in Springfield, MA, in May 2008. During law school, she received the honor of the Best Brief Award in her first-year Legal Research and Writing class. She also received CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in First Amendment Rights, Trial Methods, and International Environmental Law. 

During her last year of law school, she served as a legal intern at Western Mass Legal Services (now known as Community Legal Aid) in Northampton, MA, and worked in the employment and benefits unit assisting low-income clients in obtaining unemployment insurance benefits. She has represented clients at hearings before the Massachusetts Department of Unemployment Assistance (DUA).

Attorney Daniell earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Hampshire College in Amherst, MA. She was admitted to the Massachusetts bar in December of 2008 and to the bar of the United States District Court, District of Massachusetts, in March of 2009.
